Our One Day Revival was not quite what I expected, but when you ask God to move as He wills, you never know exactly what God will bring.

Several lines from James Walker stood out in my mind:  “I need a Savior.  It’s not that I want a Savior, I need a Savior.”  “I need to be following God, not asking God to follow me.” “I am calling you out - If you are a Christian, what sin needs to be dealt with in your life?”

Roosevelt Morris brought us a great challenge:  Who is missing from the puzzle tonight?  Who needs to be here?  Will we celebrate when what is lost is found?

I wanted to listen to God today.  I do that best on the water, so I went off in search of enough water to float my boat - not easy to do in a drought.  The first choice, Charleston, had a small craft advisory because of Tropical Storm Noel.  I went with my backup - Lake Murray. 

Great weather - sunshine, breeze.  And it is amazing how much better I listen to God when bobbing up and down.

I laid out the message series for January - don’t miss FISH (First, Improve Spiritual Health).  Then I worked on ideas for February - April.  Several ideas were good, but didn’t feel right.  I did get two rough outlines done and feel good about those.  I’ll be refining them in the next few weeks.

Amazing how well we hear God when we pull away -isn’t it?

Great night at Fall Festival last night!  Rough estimate of the crowd was between 1000 and 1500.   Eric and team did a great job with the whole evening.  Special hats off to Jim Arnemann and team for the great pig picking - we ran out of buns, chips, cole slaw - everything but BQ!

I was impressed by the number of ADBC folks who came out just to have watch and have fun - great fellowship.

So what does it say that we draw as big a crowd for Fall Festival as we do for worship?
