THE WALL OF WITNESS

            This Sunday, in our message, I asked you to fill out a card that we would put on the back wall and we would make the back wall a wall of witness.  This is how people completed the sentence, “I give God thanks for Alice Drive because:”

  • My children love it here;
  • People are not judgmental;
  • Countless people prayed for the healing of our daughter;
  • Pastor Clay’s messages are from the heart;
  • It gives me a place to come and give thanks to God and praise Him for everything;
  • No one passes judgment;
  • Everyone is always welcome here;
  • It has kept my family grounded and reminds us that we are loved;
  • There is something for everyone from the preschool, the music ministry and the people;
  • The church has brought me closer to God;
  • Of the Christ-like dedication;
  • This church introduced me to Jesus Christ;
  • It’s an open place of grace;
  • I am spiritually fed and know that this is truly a place of grace;
  • It does have a 9:45 service that works for us and we feel welcome here;
  • It holds me accountable;
  • The people are real and so is the grace;
  • I am so thankful for the sermons I can understand and real encouragement each Sunday;
  • My Sunday school class;
  • The spirit of the music;
  • Student Ministry;
  • My parents found friends here;
  • I got saved because a person visited me;
  • This church has been a home away from home for me;
  • Our church is color-blind;
  • The prayer team;
  • The prison and jail ministry;
  • PowerLunch;
  • All the fun, games and songs they place for everyone;
  • The diversity of people:  race, social standing, age, viewpoints all working together towards a common goal; bringing people to relationship with Christ;
  • I feel loved;

Those are just a few of the reasons people give God thanks for Alice Drive.  I am thankful for Alice Drive and for the great God we serve.
