Sunday Download, a little late, again
Sunday was day to share why I thank God for ADBC. We’re not a perfect church by any means, but like Paul, I give thanks for the grace of Christ in us
- I shared five things I was thankful for: ADBC was committed to helping as many people as possible take their next step toward Jesus; We have learned to keep the main thing the main thing; We are maturing as followers of Christ; We are a church of servants; and we are truly a place of grace, where people know how to forgive.
- I was touched to see how many people placed a card of thanks on the Wall of Witness. I haven’t had time to read them all, but there must be several hundred cards - each sharing how God has used ADBC and who God has used. Take time to come and read the wall.
- Sorry I had to mention the Florida vs. USC game.
- Sunday afternoon we filmed a video that introduces the Decembe sermon series, “The Impossible.” It involved three cameras, an axe, and… oops, I’ve said to much! We start that series on Dec. 2!
- Had good discussion with folks about Starting Point about ADBC values and mission. One of my favorite times each month.
- One of our deacons is in the hospital - went to pray with him and wound up staying with the family for a couple of hours. Sometimes, the most important way to minister is to be there.
God is setting the stage of something signficant. I want to be part of it!
